Notice: Partial reopening of hiking trails within the Ecological Protection Area, effective July 15, 2026.

Basis: Article 19 of the National Parks Law

Permitted Routes:

  • Xue Mountain Trail (Main Peak Route) (雪山主峰線)

  • Zhijiayang Trail (志佳陽線)

  • Xuejian Trail (雪劍線)

  • West Xue Trail (雪山西稜線)

  • Wuling Quadruple Mountains Trail (Note: Wuling Quadruple Mountains-Daba Peaks Trail is restricted to entry and exit via the Wuling Quadruple Mountains Trail Trailhead only) (武陵四秀線-秀霸線限武陵四秀登山口進出)

  • Partial Shengleng Trail (Specifically, the I-shaped, Y-shaped, and O-shaped routes are restricted to entry and exit via the Xue Mountain Trailhead and Wuling Quadruple Mountains Trailhead only.)(雪山登山口、武陵四秀登山口進出之I型、Y型及O型)及無涉大霸登山口進出之其他路線等。

  • North Dabajian Trail (Note: Restricted to entry and exit via the Cinsbu Trailhead only) (大霸北稜線-限鎮西堡登山口進出)

Other routes—including Grade 6 trail— do not involve entry or exit via the Daba Trailhead.無涉大霸登山口進出之其他路線

 

Due to multiple active landslides and ongoing clearance work along the East Line of Dalu Forest Road, all the routes involving entry or exit via the Daba Trailhead remain closed.This closure includes the following routes:

  • All Daba Peaks Trail

  • Shengleng Trail :(grade 5) Shengleng Trail "I" shape/(grade 5) Shengleng "Y" Trail

  • (grade 4) Wuling Quadruple Mountains-Daba Peaks Trail

  • (grade 5) North Dabajian Trail

  • (grade 6) Other

Following the typhoon, everyone should remain vigilant of potential heavy rain in mountainous areas. To ensure safety, hikers must observe environmental conditions upon entering the park. If any landslides or hazardous trail conditions are encountered, an immediate retreat and the reporting of these conditions are essential for facilitating disaster recovery efforts.
