Part of the trails within the Taroko National Park Ecological Protection Area and other controlled zones closed from 11:30 pm, July 23th, 2026 due to incoming Typhoon NOUL.

In accordance with the Natural Disasters Prevention Act (Chapters 3 and, the Ecological Protection Area (EPA) and other controlled
areas within the Taroko National Park domain are now under emergency restrictions: 

1.With the issuance of the typhoon maritime warning by the Central Meteorological Bureau, hikers are forbidden to enter part of the EPA and other General Controlled Areas from 11:30 pm, July 23th, 2026 onwards: Mt. Nanhu - Mt.Zhongyangjian (North Section 1 of Central Mt. Range), North Section 2 of Central Mt. Range (Guimenguan Cliff), North Sections 1 to 2 of Central Mt. Range, Qilai East Ridge and Other routes via the aforementioned routes.

2.Park Entry Permits of the aforementioned routes during the duration of the aforementioned typhoon warning will be deemed void and cancelled. After the typhoon arning has expired, any damage to trails will need to be assessed before processing of Park Entry Permits can be resumed.
