Summary: Following the issuing of a sea typhoon warning for Typhoon FUNG-WONG by the Central Weather Bureau, from 8:30 on September 19, 2014, all entry to Taroko National Park’s ecological protection areas and other restricted areas is prohibited.

 

Basis: Handled in accordance with the Disaster Prevention and Response Act and Taroko National Park Disaster Emergency Response Standard Operating Procedure.

 

Announcement: Following the issuing of a sea typhoon warning for Typhoon FUNG-WONG by the Central Weather Bureau, from 8:30 on September 19, 2014, all entry to Taroko National Park’s ecological protection areas and other restricted areas is prohibited. During the period that the warning is in place, all park entry permits that have already been issued will be cancelled according to the regulations of Article 5 of the Points for Attention Concerning Yushan, Taroko and Sheipa National Park Ecological Protection Area Application work; to enter these area a new application is required; reopening time will be announced after the warning is lifted, in accordance with the recovery situation.
