Subject: Public announcement regarding Park Entry Permit applications for the 2020 Chinese New Year Festival.
Basis: Article 19 of the National Parks Law.
Announcement:
1. As the Online Application for National Park Permits website will not be processing applications during the Chinese New Year Holidays (23 January 2020 to 30 January 2020), Park Entry Permit applications to enter the Ecological Protected Area and Zhuilu Old Road must be submitted no later than 15:00 pm on 21 January 2020 to allow sufficient time for processing. 
2 As traffic control will be implemented within a section of the Central Cross-Island Highway (National Highway 8, between the Taroko National Park Visitors Center and Tianxiang) between 26 January to 28 January 2020 (the 2nd to the 4th day of the Chinese New Year Holidays),persons who have successfully obtained a Park Entry Permit to Zhuilu Old Road on these dates will need to enter the aforementioned section of the Highway before 7 am if by private transport (e.g. car, motorcycle) or travel to the trailhead by Taroko Free Shuttle Bus.
