(11/8 Update) Shei-Pa National Park Post Typhoon Kong-rey Update: Recreation and Ecological Protection Area Status

Recreation Area Accessibility:

✅ Guanwu Recreation Area (Excluding the East Branch of Dalu Forest Road)
✅ Xuejian Recreation Area
✅ Wuling Recreation Area
(External road construction advisory: The road from Lishan toward Dayuling is still under emergency repair, currently impassable)

Mountain Trail Accessibility (as of November 5, 2024):
✅ Main Peak of Xue Mountain Trail
✅ Wuling Quadruple Mountains Trail
✅ West Xue Trail
✅ Holy Ridge Trail (O-shaped)
❌ Holy Ridge Trail (Y-shaped and I-shaped)

Communication and Safety Advisory:
Due to Typhoon Kong-rey, the Dali Mountain area is experiencing power outages, potentially affecting mobile network coverage. Visitors should proceed with caution and plan accordingly.

Trail Closures and Facility Updates:


⛔ Daba Peaks Trail, Xueba Peaks Trail, Holy Ridge (I-shaped and Y-shaped)
Jiujiu("99") Cabin lodging area has roof damage and leaks requiring repair. Fallen trees obstruct the trail; all affected trails are closed until November 18. Visitors may apply for a refund via the Forestry Bureau Jiujiu("99") Cabin website.

⛔ Zhijiayang Trail
Landslides near Simanong Farm are blocking the trail, making it inaccessible.
⛔ Xuejian Trail
Slope collapses and fallen trees on Songmao Forest Trail require clearing; currently impassable.

 

Wuling Area External Road Construction Updates:

❌ Provincial Highway 8, KM 83 (Lishan towards Dayuling)
Road collapse under repair; expected reopening by November 11 at 12:00 p.m.

‼️  Provincial Highway 7, KM 86+500 (Yingshi section)
Repair work from November 2 to November 15, with 10-minute traffic intervals every hour from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weekends included.

‼️  Provincial Highway 7, KM 90 (Yingshi section)
Slope clearance from October 25 to November 8, with 10-minute traffic openings every two hours (weekends excluded).

‼️  Provincial Highway 7, KM 102+040 (Yingshi section)
Slope work from October 28 to November 28, with 5-minute intervals every 30 minutes from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weekends excluded.

‼️  Provincial Highway 7A, KM 0 to KM 45 (Qilan to Siyuan section)
Ongoing road maintenance from November 2 to November 15, with dynamic traffic control, weekends included.
