  • The main purposes are to conserve wild animals, maintain species diversity and natural ecological balance, and promote mountain hiking and eco-tourism. These directives are formulated in order to improve the operation, management and accommodation application of the mountain lodges and campsites attached to the Jiaming Lake National Trail, promote the fair use of public resources, and reduce the impact of various activities on the trail and environmental interference.
  • Camping in areas other than designated areas is prohibited within the Jiaming Lake National Trail. The trails are equipped with:

Our staff and the Forestry and Conservation Police will conduct inspections from time to time
  • Applications for the Jiaming Lake National Trail Mountain Lodge, Jiaming Lake Mountain Lodge Campground and Xiangyang Recreation Area Campground should be processed in accordance with the following regulations:

    • Application methods and regulations:
      • Jiaming Lake National Trail Mountain Lodge and Jiaming Lake Mountain Lodge Campground
        • Number of applicants: Only one person per application form can submit the application, and the fields for filling in the personnel information are divided into 3 columns…
          • Column 1: Applicant/Tour Leader (the system automatically inputs the information)
          • Column 2: The team member column can be filled with up to 9 people.
          • Column 3: Up to 2 people can be filled in as alpine porters (please send the application form and call us to inform, and attach photos of collaborative work such as cooking, porting, etc.)
        • Applicants must be residents and cannot be replaced.
        • Relevant application information (such as payment, bed number, accommodation invoice, etc.) can only be obtained by the applicant. Applicants must be the actual tour leader and check-in personnel.
        • Those who work in alpine porter positions must be those who are actually engaged in cooking or carrying heavy loads. They must provide supporting documents before they can obtain the occupancy approval certificate. If the information provided is found to be false, the bed will be cancelled.
        • Beds are obtained by drawing lots. Teams applying for continuous accommodation (one application form applies for multiple days) must draw daily beds. This office can approve Mountain Lodge accommodations.
        • Application method:
          • Stage 1: During the open application period, please go to the Mountain Lodge application website to apply. Successful applicants will be notified by email and the application form will be included in the lottery list.
          • Stage 2: The application system will conduct a bed lottery at 3:00 pm on the 30th day before the accommodation date. The lottery result will be emailed to applicants. Each successful bed application that is selected will be notified by text message and published on the website. Those who were not drawn for a bed will also be informed. The application form will be included in the waiting list for the lottery, and the waiting list is unordered.
          • Stage 3: For those who are not selected in the lottery and are on the waiting list, the system will draw lots for available beds at 3 pm every day from 4 days to 29 days before the accommodation date, and the lottery results will be emailed to drawn applicants. The drawn applicants will be notified via text message and published on the website. There is no priority on the waiting list.
        • If you need to modify the contents of the application form, please do so before the drawing.
        • After the bed/camp spaces are drawn, no more people can be added even if some people cannot make the trip for some reason; this is to comply with the principle of fairness. Personnel are not allowed to be changed except for the tour leader (guide) – the tour leader can only be changed once per application form. If the team members are unable to make the trip for some reason, they can only apply for a partial refund according to the refund process (unpaid → deletion // paid → refund, limited to 2 people at most [the number of group members who cancel will determine how much is refunded]).
        • If more than 2 people on the application are to be removed, please cancel the application form and reapply for the lottery.
        • If you want to partially reduce the number of members after being selected for the Mountain Lodge beds and have not yet paid, please click "Edit" to reduce the number of members. After reducing the number of members, remember to click "Print Payment Slip" to obtain a new payment invoice.
        • Persons who are not on the approved accommodation list or who do not bring documents will not be allowed to stay.
      • Xiangyang Recreation Area Campground…

        • Application method:
          • Stage 1: During the open application period, please go to the Mountain Lodge application website to apply. Successful applicants will be notified by email. Drawn applicants for campsites will be notified by text message and announced on the website.
          • Stage 2: For those who have not been selected and are on the waiting list, the system will carry out backup operations for vacant campsites from 4 days to 29 days before the accommodation date, and the application form for confirming the drawn campsite will be notified by text message and announced on the website.
    • Mountain lodge bed and campsite number announcement and dispatch time: The system will provide the bed number / campsite number for the check-in team 3 days before accommodation.
    • Mountain lodge and campground payment regulations: The payment deadline for those who win the bed / campsite is 5 days (if the winner is drawn within 9 days of the accommodation date, the payment deadline is instead 2 days). If you exceed the deadline, it will be deemed to have given up your spot, and the system will automatically cancel the check-in qualification.
      • Those who pay via bank transfer must make the payment before 3:30 pm on the bank transaction day. Note: if the payment is made after 3:30, the fee will not be credited to the account until the next day, not the same day.
      • ATM, Internet and credit card payments must be completed 24 hours in advance of the deadline.
      • For the payment account number, please log in to the Mountain Lodge application website for membership inquiry or go to the mailbox to inquire (limited to those who pay via online banking // ATM // credit card).

    • Cancellation regulations for mountain lodges and campsites:
      • If you are unable to stay or the number of people staying is reduced for some reason, the applicant should go to the Mountain Lodge application website to cancel the itinerary and delete the number of people. Some deletions are limited to 2 people at most, and the first day of the stay will be used as the starting date for calculation of refunds. The fee amount, bed cancellation and refund regulations are as follows:
      • Calculation standard for the starting date - for single-day and multi-day stays, the starting date is the day of the stay.
        • If the order is successfully canceled 8 days before the start date, the paid amount will be refunded in full.
        • If the cancellation is successful between 4 and 7 days before the start date, 50% of the paid amount will be refunded.
        • If you cancel one or more beds within 3 days before the start date and do not show up on the accommodation day, the amount paid will not be refunded.
      • After the application spots are drawn, if you need to reduce or increase the number of days, change the accommodation days or increase the number of people, you will need to cancel the application form and reapply.
