Due to the recent heavy rains, a bridge on the east side of Batongguan Traversing Trail (at the 16.3 mark from Shanfeng Trailhead) was hit by falling rocks. The foundation of the bridge was damaged and pushed about 50 cm away, making the bridge distorted and inclined and the bridge panel falling into the valley. Since it’s a vertical cliff nearly 70 m deep, the bridge is temporarily closed due to safety concerns. Repair work will be carried out if weather permits.

After recent earthquakes and heavy rains, the ground in the mountain areas is unstable. Please be extra cautious when hiking.
